Launched in 1998, Broker’s was created by brothers Martin and Andy Dawson. It is based on 100% wheat neutral sprit and flavoured with ten botanicals: juniper, coriander, orris, nutmeg, cassia bark, cinnamon, liquorice, angelica root, orange peel and lemon peel.
The botanicals are allowed to steep in the neutral spirit for 24 hours prior to traditional pot still distillation.
Broker’s is distilled near Birmingham but the label depicts an old-school London stockbroker, as suits its name, graced, like the bottle, with a bowler hat.
Broker's Gin has succeeded through a combination of word-of-mouth and personal promotion by owners Andy and Martin Dawson wearing their trademark bowler hats, mimicking the gimmicky black plastic bowler hat atop the screwcap of every bottle.
