Made to a family recipe created in the 1920s by Norman Trevethan, this Cornish gin is (single-shot) distilled in copper pot still named Doris with juniper, angelica, coriander, cassia, cardamom, orange peel, lemon peel, vanilla, elderflower and gorse flower.

Appearance:

(sample bottle batch No. 015) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Cracked black pepper spice, pine cone juniper with faint overripe banana, cardamom and violet blossom.

Taste:

Black pepper and cardamom spice with refreshing piney juniper and orange peel.

Aftertaste:

Citrusy and spicy with lingering piney juniper.

Overall:

Good juniper character with enlivening cardamom and black pepper spice, refreshing zesty orange and violet blossom. Invigorating and complex.
