Launched in March 2013 and made from organic wheat by G&J Greenall in Warrington, England, Quintessentially Vodka takes its name from and is owned by Quintessentially, the concierge service company.
The lack label claims Quintessentially Vodka is “produced by the world’s oldest continuous working distillery.” This is utter rubbish. The G&J Greenall distillery has moved numerous times and the present distillery in Risley only dates from 2006. However, G&J Greenall could be said to be “England’s oldest continuous gin distillers”. The label goes onto say, “After multiple distillations, a natural plant extract, rowanberry, adds the final touch – a luxuriously silky finish.”

Crystal clear.
Clean, fairly neutral, faint grain over wet flint minerality with white pepper.
Dry and very clean with faint aniseed and biting cracked black pepper spirit. The rowanberry does indeed add a silky quality to the mouthfeel but this surpassed by aggressive peppery spirit attack.
Dry, cracked black pepper burn.
