Appearance:
Clear, bright gold.
Aroma:
A peaty nose with linseed oil and touch of sulphur.
Taste:
The palate (hydrated to around 40% abv) is very similar to the 1990 vintage which this bottling replaces with flavours of tar, leather, sea salt, apple fruit and smoky peat.
Aftertaste:
Finishes very dry, perhaps a little drier than the 1990, with smoky charred wood/peat and apple fruit.
