Introduced in July 2014 with an international rollout in autumn 2014, Highland Park Dark Origins in blended with “twice as many first fill sherry casks than in the classic Highland Park 12 year old.” Bottled without chill-filtration or caramel colouring.

Appearance:
Clear, golden amber.
Aroma:
Buttery suede leather, sherry, nutmeg, ripe banana and toasted hazelnut with backed apple pie. Water releases balsawood and cedarwood.
Taste:
Full-bodied, sherry-rich and elegantly woody with earthy lightly smoky peat and chocolate. Water amplifies sherry and dry woodiness.
Aftertaste:
Long dry, gently peaty finish.
