Introduced late 2013, Charles VII Smooth NV Rosé is a blend of 60% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir and 20% Meunier with a dosage of 22 grams per litre so classified as sec (medium-dry). However, Canard-Duchêne used the term “smooth” rather than sec on this medium-dry champagne.

This “Smooth” Canard-Duchene rosé has a slightly higher proportion of Chardonnay than the standard Charles VII rosé is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir.

Charles VII Smooth NV Rose is presented in a creamy white painted bottle.

Appearance:

Clear, pale baby pink with fine and plentiful bubbles.

Aroma:

Raspberries, strawberries and meringue with vanilla, floral and white peach notes.

Taste:

Lightly sweet. Strawberry, raspberry, peach and papaya fruit with mild citrus lemon acidity.

Aftertaste:

Biscuity strawberry and light acidity.
