Alain Lalanne makes this rose Floc de Gascogne from Cabernet grown on sandy slopes in the Midi-Pyrenees region. He fortifies the Floc using distillate from the previous year and then ages it for 10 months in his own cellars prior to bottling.

Appearance:

Clear, burgundy red with tawny tints.

Aroma:

Blackcurrant, cherry, prunes and raisons with vanilla fudge and tobacco leaf.

Taste:

Toffee fudge, red berry fruit, prunes, tobacco and mild fruit tannins.

Aftertaste:

Red berry fruit with very mild oaky tannins and vanilla.
