How to make:
SHAKE all ingredients with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.
1 2/3 fl oz | Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old) |
1/2 fl oz | Triple sec liqueur (40% alc./vol.) |
5/6 fl oz | Lime juice (freshly squeezed) |
1/2 fl oz | Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix) |
1/24 fl oz | Rose water |
4 drop | Difford's Margarita Bitters |
2 drop | Saline solution 4:1 (20g sea salt to 80g water) |

Review:
In its simplest form, this is a Daiquiri with added triple sec and rose water - or a Margarita with rum. Whatever, it's a good balance of sweet and sour.
History:
I don't know the origin of this cocktail but in March 2021, I revisited the recipe to arrive at the above. Our/the original recipe:
60ml (2oz) Light white rum
15ml (½oz) Triple sec
30ml (1oz) Lime juice
15ml (½oz) Sugar syrup
2.5ml (½ spoon) Rosewater
Alcohol content:
- 1.5 standard drinks
- 19.73% alc./vol. (39.46° proof)
- 21 grams of pure alcohol
