History:

Adapted from a recipe created in December 2021 at The Spirit in Milan, Italy. And in case you were wondering, "FERT" is the motto of Italy's royal House of Savoy and this cocktail was created using Savoia Americano Rosso. What these four letters are an acronym of has been lost in the mists of time since its adoption as a motto in the late 1600s. However, many say it stands for Foedere et Religione Tenemur, Latin for 'treaty and religion bind us'.

We lacked the Savoia and made a variation with 10 ml Campari and 20 ml Martini Rossi also used rosé cremant. Delicious! The fruitiness of the cremant played very nicely with the touch of Campari. Will have to compare to the Savoia soon.

Rosé prosecco and 5ml rich syrup worked well here and I'll definitely be making more of these.
