History:

Adapted from a recipe created by Mark Huang of Taiwan while competing in the "Gentleman's Drinks & Fancy Tipples" round in Diageo's World Class Global competition in 2011. Mark on the round with this cocktail which was originally made with Zacapa 23 rum, hence the name for this riff on a classic Negroni.
