1 1/2 fl oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
5/6 fl oz Giffard Banane du Brésil liqueur
1/3 fl oz Honey syrup (3 parts honey to 1 water by weight)
1/3 fl oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1/6 fl oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)

How to make

Glassware

Serve in a Highball (max 10oz/300ml)

Prepare

  1. Select and pre-chill a HIGHBALL (MAX 10OZ/300ML) GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of aromatic bitters.

Method

  1. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.

Garnish

  1. FLOAT 2 dashes of aromatic bitters.
  2. Serve with a straw.

I *love* Monkey 47. Unfortunately, it's stupid expensive where I live. I'll save it for martinis, where its nuances & complexities can best be appreciated rather than be lost amid the rest of the bold flavours in this drink. I subbed a split of Aviation & Norkotié (a Quebec product). I regret nothing. Good drink on lots of ice on a hot summer's day.
