Jason was inspired by the Champs-Élysées and named this cocktail "after Marigny Square, which stands on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn famously watched a puppet show there in Charade (the 1963 film)."

I tasted it before putting in the angostura bitters and decided to leave them out this time.

For all the stuff in this, a lot of it gets slammed by cognac and lemon juice. Certainly not bad, and I imagine over time I could learn to pick it apart, but I think I'll reach for a regular sidecar over this.

I honestly think I prefer the Champs-Elysee. The calvados and extra chartreuse slightly muddies the flavours. It's still a good cocktail, solid 4/5, but not as good as the Champs which is a 5/5 for me.

Just had this again, and it is still outstanding. The hints of flavour from the green chartreuse sends this cocktail into the next level. Unbelievable as a nightcap. Perfect. Highly recommend.

Use 1/2 calvados and 1/2 Applejack bottled-in-bond. Upped the proof, but wonderful flavour.
