Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Bourbon whiskey
12 oz Cointreau triple sec liqueur
12 oz Cranberry juice (sweetened)
12 oz Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
112 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.
  5. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

We found this outstanding. We did cut the sugar syrup by half and used a small batch California Bourbon at 90 proof. Our cranberry juice was organic and not as sweet as others. Found it nicely refreshing while the Bourbon flavour is still in for foreground.

I made a version of this replacing the simple syrup with ~1/3 oz of Yes Cocktail's passionfruit syrup: https://yescocktailco.com/product/passionfruit-syrup/

Slightly too sweet. I’ll cut out the sugar cane syrup next time, it might help.
