Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
7 fresh Blackberries
12 oz Aniseed (anise) liqueur
1 12 oz Ketel One Vodka
12 oz Giffard Crème de Mûre liqueur
1 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
16 oz Monin Vanilla Syrup
34 oz Chilled water reduce if wet ice
× 1 1 serving

Garnish: Blackberries on stick

How to make:

MUDDLE berries in base of shaker. Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

This is very good- better than 3.5 stars! I’ve made it a few times now and it’s better if berries muddled first; and if you are one of those people who doesn’t like too strong an aniseed flavour- don’t worry. It’s quite subtle; and you can always add a bit more vanilla syrup.

This gave me a Proustian rush to scruffier days drinking Pernod and black in cheep bars then dancing off the sugar rush in the local night club. The same flavor profile but more sophisticated and luscious.

Amazing cocktail! I questioned the wisdom of the Pernod in a berry-flavoured cocktail, but I should not have second-guessed you. It adds such an unexpected -—and exquisite!— flavor. Added to favorites.
