Glass:

Serve in a Flute glass

Ingredients:
1 cube Demerara / dark Muscovado / brown sugar
1 fresh Lemon peel
1 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
12 oz Cognac (brandy) chilled
12 oz Grand Marnier or other cognac orange liqueur chilled
5 12 oz Brut champagne/sparkling wine chilled
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select a FLUTE GLASS.
  2. RUB a sugar cube with a lemon zest (or on the skin of an unwaxed lemon) and then coat cube with a dash of bitters. Drop cube into chilled glass.
  3. POUR chilled brandy and liqueur over soaked cube.
  4. TOP with sparkling wine.

Just had this as our Xmas cocktail. Highly recommended. Everyone is tipsy.

Very nice champaign cocktail. Good balance, but I felt the orange flavour. May try with one dash of angostura and one of orange bitters.
