Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
2 oz Ketel One Vodka
1 oz Pear juice (freshly pressed)
1 oz Apple juice/apple cider (cloudy & unsweetened)
14 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
14 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
2 dash Orange Bitters by Angostura
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Martini glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of a pear wedge.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with pear wedge on rim.

Review:

In London's cockney rhyming slang 'apples and pears' means stairs. Thus, this tasty cocktail is appropriately named.

Un très bon cocktail très frais & agréable... J'ai simplement utiliser un jus de pomme/poire artisanal(comme beaucoup en Belgique) plutôt que pomme et poire séparer, j'ai également agrémenter ce doux cocktail de 1,5 cl de liqueur poire/cognac( Noces Royales... un délice juteux)

I have tried this three times. One time trying 25% of the vodka as vanilla as someone proposed - to me that did not work and the vanilla took over. One time as per recipe. Beautiful. One time without orange bitters. Very clean, the apple/pear flavours shining through. Also impressive.

I found that substituting some of the vodka for some absolut vanilla vodka added a nice flavour to it

You’ll need to juice pears freshly for this (and whilst you’re there you may as well juice apples as well) so it’s probably just as well someone bought you a juicer with the fond hope you will life of kale smoothies. Mix the lemon juice in straight away to stop the other juices browning.

Delicious autumn cocktail that I’m sure is just as good for you as a kale smoothie.
