Ingredients:
34 oz Calvados / apple brandy / straight applejack
34 oz Ketel One Vodka
34 oz Belle de Brillet pear liqueur
2 12 oz Apple juice/apple cider (cloudy & unsweetened)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Collins glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of apple or pear wedge.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into ice-filled glass.
  5. Garnish with apple or pear wedge.

Review:

"Apples and pears" is the cockney rhyming slang for stairs, hence the flavours in this flight.

History:

Created in 2005 by yours truly. Incredibly, this cocktail was awarded a Gold in the Long Drink category at the Drinks International Bartender's Challenge on 31st May 2006.

This was a great mixture of falvours. Worked perfectly for a late brunch. Would also be wonderful on a hot afternoon or for a relaxing weekend.
