Garnish: Rose petal

How to make:

STIR first three ingredients with ice and strain into chilled glass. POUR grenadine into the centre of the drink. This should settle to form a red layer in the base of the glass.

Review:

Unless you've a sweet tooth don't mix the red and white layers - sip from the chocolate and lychee top and stop when you hit red.

Summer Rose sounded overly sweet to me, so I omitted grenadine, even if it's a visual accent only, drinker instructed to end before hitting the syrup layer. Is it really possible to enjoy a drink when I have to sip so carefully as to avoid mixing the grenadine? Debatable. Mine: DeKuyper white Creme de Cacao, Bali Moon Lychee Liqueur, Canada's Viking Vodka, a clean tasting small batch type. Cocktail tasted chocolate-heavy (will next try more Lychee) PRO: clean martini profile.
