Ingredients:
1 oz Torabhaig Peated Single Malt Whisky
34 oz Heering Cherry Liqueur
34 oz Strucchi Rosso Vermouth
34 oz Blood orange juice
16 oz Strucchi Red Bitter (Campari-style liqueur)
3 drop Saline solution 4:1 (20g sea salt to 80g water)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist (discarded) & float dehydrated blood orange slice or skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Review:

Faint earthy peaty and bittersweet notes befit the name in this riff on a classic Blood & Sand. Sadly, it's a tad seasonal as this is a lesser cocktail when made with regular orange, rather than blood orange juice.
