Serve in a Medical cup or Old-fashioned glass
| 45 ml | Cognac (brandy) |
| 15 ml | Straight rye whiskey (100 proof /50% alc./vol.) |
| 4 dash | Peychaud's or other Creole-style bitters |
| 3 dash | La Fée Parisienne absinthe |
| 2 dash | Angostura Aromatic Bitters |
| 15 ml | Chilled water |
| 10 ml | St-Germain elderflower liqueur |
