Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Ketel One Vodka
2 oz Cranberry juice (sweetened)
14 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lime wedge.
  3. POUR ingredients into ice-filled glass.
  4. STIR.
  5. Garnish with lime wedge.

Review:

Innocuously light in both flavour and alcohol. Add a shot of triple sec and you are well on your way to making a Cosmopolitan.

History:

Thought to be the forerunner to the Cosmopolitan. A 1968 bottle label from Ocean Spray's archives lists the Harpoon as a "new cocktail". It was originally launched as being 2 ounces Ocean Spray cranberry and 1 ounce vodka or light rum served "over the rocks or tall with soda. Suggested garnish: a splash of lime or lemon optional." In 1970, it was updated to also list gin as a possible base spirit.

Tried it after finding Cranberry juice in a German supermarket (at last..). I like it. Refreshing summer cocktail, not to boozy, charming colour.

Not too bady if you like a refreshing cocktail with cranberry, but nothing like cosmo as well
