Ingredients:
1 oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
1 oz Strucchi Bianco Vermouth
23 oz Strucchi Red Bitter (Campari-style liqueur)
13 oz Mandarine Napoleon liqueur
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).
  5. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

History:

Adapted from a recipe created in 2022 by Dennis Stein at Le Lion Bar de Paris in Hamburg, Germany for Negroni Week. The Mandarine Negroni proved so popular it became a permanent addition to the bar's menu and is consistently one of the bestselling cocktails.

Dennis' original recipe: 30ml Rutte Dutch Dry Gin, 30ml Berto Bianco Vermouth, 20ml Campari, and 10ml Mandarine Napoleon.

The best use of Campari this Campari hater has found. But I am stubbornly determined to finish the bottle.

I swapped Campari with Galliano l'apertivo Amoro Bitter.
It was a very nice experience.

Very nice variation on the Negroni, a gentle variation. Will use it as an introduction to Negroni sceptics ;-)
