Ingredients:
1 12 oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
1 oz Cockburn's White Heights Port
12 oz Hayman's Sloe Gin
14 oz Yellow Chartreuse (or génépy liqueur)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of skewered Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with skewered cherry.

I find this particularly elegant. It works great with a fragrant gin. The complexity is perfect for an aperitive.

More boozy than many white port recipes - this is a spicy and flavorful cocktail (I used genepy and yellow chartreuse - I think genepy is great here, save the chartreuse). A terrific transparent and golden color, the cherry is perfect - very delicious and elegant. Consider this as an alternative to a Martinez, or even a Manhattan (they aren't the same, but the Time Release might be just what you're looking for).
