Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Straight rye whiskey (100 proof /50% alc./vol.)
34 oz Strucchi Dry Vermouth
12 oz Mancino Vermouth di Torino Chinato
14 oz Strucchi Red Bitter (Campari-style liqueur)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).
  5. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

It is very dry, but it’s also very delicious! I added a generous hunk of orange to keep it fruity (political references not intended 😉). Almost leathery palate with the dry vermouth and rye, but there’s still plenty of fruit and some nuttiness too (asking for a friend). Kind of like negroni meets Affinity - if you like those you may well like this.

Minor typo in the variants links - second one should read Old Gal. Tho hopefully your old gal is also your old pal, I know mine is 😂
