Like other Daiquiris, this complex version benefits from dilution so consider adding a dash of water.
With fruit.
The origins of this Daiquiri with rosso vermouth and crème de cacao are unknown.
Early origins of this database saw this cocktail titled "Daiquiri No.2 (El Floridita style)" but is quite different to the Daiquiri No. 2 created by Constantino "Constante" Ribalaïgua Vert, who owned Havana's famous El Floridita from 1918 to 1952. Hence, in June 2025, I retitled this cocktail Chocolate Presidente after the classic El Presidente, the best-known rum-based cocktail with vermouth, lime and grenadine.
