Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
2 slice Red chili pepper (jalapeño/fresno chili (10,000 SHU) deseeded)
2 oz Patrón Reposado tequila
12 oz Apple Schnapps liqueur
1 oz Apple juice/apple cider (cloudy & unsweetened)
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
16 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)

Garnish: Small red chilli (warn drinker not to eat)

How to make:

Lightly MUDDLE (just press) chilli pepper in base of shaker to release its flavour. (If you muddle hard then the finished cocktail will be overly spicy). Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.

A hint of chilli heat adds interest to an Apple Margarita, creating a full flavoured contemporary classic.

History:

Created by Danny Smith at Che, London, England, initially using rum instead of tequila. 'Fuego Manzana' is Spanish for Fire Apple.
