History

Adapted from a drink created in 2005 at Pirates Alley Café in New Orleans, and named after the hurricane which devastated the city in 2005. The name is an acronym of its original ingredients: Kahlúa, Absinthe, Tequila, Raspberry, Ice, Nutmeg, and Apple juice.

Review

Spicy, fruity tequila served in a style synonymous with the Crescent City - full on!

I found this to be a Wow cocktail. I love absinthe, and the falvour of the absinthe is present. It tastes very much of an absinthe-laced New Orleans cocktail. It is strong and favlourful.

It’s a strange mixture of ingredients but all play their role. The Chambord surprisingly does add raspberry and the Absinthe a twist. Apple and coffee work with the Tequila. A drink that is a bit different.
