1/4 fl oz Overproof white rum (unaged Jamaican/funky)
1/4 fl oz Green Chartreuse (or alternative herbal liqueur)
3/4 fl oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
1/2 fl oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water) 65.0°Brix
1/3 fl oz Chilled water/mineral water (omit if using wet ice)

How to make

Glassware

Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of coin-sized slice of lime zest.

Method

  1. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

  1. Garnish with lime zest coin.

Still perfect after 3 years. Did back off the sugar syrup a bit just to make the cocktail a bit more sour. Lovely mixtures of flavours. Very refreshing.

This cocktail hit all the high notes for us. It has a punch, but is refreshing and smooth. Wonderful hints of herbal flavours with the dash of sour from the lime. Perfect level of sweetness.
