Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Blended Scotch whisky
34 oz Honey herbal liqueur (e.g. Drambuie)
14 oz Green Chartreuse (or alternative herbal liqueur)
× 1 1 serving
Read about cocktail measures and measuring

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare mint sprigs for garnish.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.
  5. Garnish with mint sprigs bouquet.

This is great with Johnnie Walker Black. A bit sweet up front, but the smoke and bitter herbal go a long way to balance it out. Nice work, Simon.

Honestly didn't think you'd notice much of the Chartreuse at all but that liqueur continues to surprise me. It's not hitting you over the face but it's certainly an herbal Rusty Nail. I like my Nails with less Drambuie though so next time I'll use something like 1.5cl, and maybe lower the Chartreuse a bit as well to keep it balanced.

not as bad as most drambuie cocktails... :D
