Serve in a Coupe glass
1 1⁄2 oz | Hayman's London Dry Gin |
1⁄2 oz | Heering Cherry Liqueur |
1⁄2 oz | Lemon juice (freshly squeezed) |
2⁄3 oz | Orange juice (freshly squeezed) |
1 dash | Cherry bitters |
2 drop | Saline solution 4:1 (20g sea salt to 80g water) |
I've played with the ratios but I'm not sure this sour can be better than a four-out-of-five.
Adapted from a recipe in Ted "Dr. Cocktail" Haigh's 2009 book Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails where he credits "a crude and otherwise quite forgettable cocktail pamphlet from 1933 titled Cocktail Parade."
