Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
2 12 oz Hayman's London Dry Gin
0.42 oz Strucchi Bianco Vermouth
0.42 oz Strucchi Dry Vermouth
1 dash Orange Bitters by Angostura optional
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Martini glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist and 3 skewered Fragata Green Olives.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Express lemon zest twist over the cocktail and discard.
  6. Garnish with skewered olives.

For us this is a dry Martini. As we understand it, the opposite of dry (where the spirit is to the fore) is wet (not sweet), where the Vermouth, if not necessarily to the fore, is nonetheless assertive. We prefer our Martinis wet and with a zephyr of sweetness.
