Review:

Creamy and complex Christmassy cocktail. Fino sherry dries, Scotch whisky provides backbone and character while advocaat adds dairy-like creaminess. Chartreuse monastic liqueur adds faint religious significance – drink after all Christmas is meant to celebrate the birth of Christ.

I was sceptical about whiskey and Advocaat, but it does work. The whiskey does shine, despite the sherry and the Smokey whiskey adds a nice flourish in spite of its minuscule measure.

This is great! Had to make my own advocaat here in the US. I would recommend double straining this to get all ice crystals out as you pour into the glass as the presentation is much nicer. Even a dusting of cinnamon to add a festive touch without a garnish. (Or both for people to ohh and ahh)

Scotch Whisky and Eierlikör work well together.
