Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
2 oz Patrón Silver blanco tequila
12 oz Gentian liqueur (e.g. Suze, Salers etc)
12 oz Luxardo Apricot Albicocca Liqueur
12 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
16 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
1 dash Boker's bitters
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Review:

Slightly on the bitter side of bittersweet with gentian, jammy apricot and lemon juice over a tequila base.

Forgot I'd run out of apricot last night and used peach instead. Either way, the fruit will dominate. Per the photo, I also used Boker's instead of Bogart's bitters. The sugar syrup seemed on point for me, but I did use Salers instead of Suze, the latter of which I feel is more sweet... Overall, it's not an interesting drink, but one that could be easily tweaked into a punch.

I made the cocktail with Dolin Genepy le Chamois instead of Suze and omitted the bitter. It went out a bit too sweet, but still very tasty, next time I would skip the sugar syrup.
