2 1⁄3 oz | Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old) |
3⁄4 oz | Lime juice (freshly squeezed) |
1⁄2 oz | Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup) |
1⁄3 oz | Chilled water omit if using wet ice |
1⁄6 oz | Kirschwasser (cherry) eau-de-vie |
A float of Kirsch eau-de-vie adds wonderfully fruity aromatics to an otherwise classic Natural Daiquiri.
This adaptation of a Natural Daiquiri was discovered by Joerg Meyer in 2011 in the 1948 edition of the Cuban Cantinero bartender's own journal, El Arte del Cantinero Los Vinos Y Los Licores.
