Ingredients: 3 Basil leaves; 40 ml Rum - Light white (charcoal-filtered) 1-3 year old; 20 ml Lemon juice (freshly squeezed); 15 ml Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix); 10 ml Italian red bitter liqueur; 30 ml Brut champagne or sparkling wine

How to make:

MUDDLE basil in base of shaker. Add next 4 ingredients, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into chilled glass. TOP with champagne.

Adapted from a recipe created by Arash Ghassemi at Green Door & Schwarze Traube, Berlin and originally made with Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, this was the German Bacardí Legacy 2016 winning cocktail.
