History:

The Chinese Bacardí Legacy 2015 winning cocktail, created by Faye Chen at Speak Low in Shanghai, using Bacardí Carta Oro rum.

This cocktail is inspired by my life journey to Shanghai. Shanghai and my hometown Taiwan are completely different. Even in Shanghai, the place I live and work is different. I live in old town, which is full of historic buildings; however, on my daily walk to work, I enjoy the change immediately to a modern commercial scene. Therefore, in this city of old and new, I want to use the classic drink 'Old Fashioned' to create a new classic with Bacardí Carta Oro, called 'Gold Fashioned'.

Feels slightly like a Canchanchara Old Fashioned. Not great (the lime adds so much more), but it is good.
