Spicy Cucumber Margarita

Glass:

Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
1 inch Cucumber (fresh) chopped
1 slice Red chili pepper (jalapeño/fresno chili 10,000 SHU) deseeded
1 12 fl oz Patrón Silver blanco tequila
34 fl oz Cointreau L'Unique triple sec liqueur
34 fl oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
16 fl oz Agave syrup (agave nectar)
3 drop Saline solution (20g sea salt to 80g water) or merest pinch of s
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. RIM glass with Tajín seasoning (moisten outside edge with lime or orange juice and drip into Tajín).
  3. Prepare garnish of cucumber slices.

How to make:

  1. MUDDLE cucumber and chili in base of shaker.
  2. Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
  3. FINE STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

Garnish:

  1. Garnish with cucumber slices.

Review:

Your chili, how thick your slice, and whether you remove the seeds, will all impact how spicy your Cucumber Martini is. I like mine, seeds-in spicy. The first few sips may be too much, but once you acclimatise, the chili heat becomes alluring.
