1 23 oz Tennessee whiskey
13 oz Strucchi Dry Vermouth
16 oz Cynar or other carciofo amaro
0.08 oz Chili pepper (spicy) syrup
1 dash La Fée Parisienne absinthe
1 dash Peychaud's or other Creole-style bitters

How to make:

Method: Firstly, infuse Tennessee whiskey with mint stems. STIR all ingredients with ice and strain into chilled glass.

History:

Adapted from a cocktail created in November 2017 by Tatjana Titimova at Épernay Bar in Manchester, England, for Jack Daniel's Tennessee Calling competition. Tatjana's original recipe:
50 ml mint sprig infused Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey
15 ml Homemade sparkling wine cordial
5 ml Cynar artichoke amaro
1 dash Absinthe
1 dash Peychaud's bitters

Alcohol content:

  • 1.3 standard drinks
  • 26.53% alc./vol. (26.53° proof)
  • 18.1 grams of pure alcohol

Excellent fresh cocktail. I used 1-2 drops Tabasco and 4 ml sugar syrup instead of the chilipepper sugar syrup
