Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Gentian liqueur (e.g. Suze, Salers etc)
34 oz Strucchi Dry Vermouth
34 oz Strucchi Bianco Vermouth
3 dash Orange Bitters by Angostura
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

History:

Adapted from a recipe created in 2017 by Chris Grotvedt at The Thief, Oslo, Norway. Chris’ original spec call for 45ml Suze, 45ml Carpano dry vermouth and 3 dash orange bitters. The name is a play on words from the character in the movie The Usual Suspects.

Much better than expected. Used Salers, Noilly Prat Dry, Dolin Blanc, Ango orange bitters. It's sweet, but it's not.

Tastes nice but find it sweet for my palate - not dry at all - might want to tone down the bianco
