History:

The Greek Bacardí Legacy 2018 winning cocktail, by Antonis Mantzaridis at Theory in Halandri, Greece.

Semilla is Spanish for 'seed.' A seed has one purpose only: to grow, to 'become.'

In order to do this, it must be dropped in dirt and covered in darkness, then struggle to reach the light. To achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out, and everything changes; to someone who doesn't understand growth, this would seem like complete destruction. But the seeds that you plant today become the harvest that you'll reap tomorrow. And that will be your legacy.

A strange and interesting cocktail, and I actually wonder how this drink would work at all with Bacardi 8. I used Appleton Reserve Blend and that has a tiny hint of Jamaican funk that at least pairs okay (not well) with the soy sauce. I'd give it 3.5* personally. The only thing is perhaps Antonis used some sort of extremely high quality soy sauce with a very different flavour profile.
