A banana influenced riff on a Scotch Negroni with crème de banana sweetness balanced by bitter notes and faint saltiness. Enjoy as an aperitivo or digestivo.

History:

Created in 2018 by Josh Davies at The Hedonist Project in Leeds, England, this cocktail was originally based on Chivas 12 Year Old Scotch, and was created for the 2018 Chivas Masters Competition in London. Josh's original spec calls for this drink to be served over a large ice cube in a coupe. Seems wrong to put a huge chunk of ice in a delicate coupe so we've used an old-fashioned glass.

I made this one using Islay Mist blended scotch Whiskey. Turned out to be awesome!!! The saline solution should not be 'optional'. It is what gives this cocktail its oomph!

One of my favorites.
