History:

The Swiss Bacardí Legacy 2019 winning cocktail created by Belinda Klostermann at Bar Münster in Zurich, Switzerland.

Belinda says, "My Cocktail Luchadora was inspired by the paintings of the great Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. Facundo Bacardí was originally from Spain and, by way of coincidence, I was also born and raised in Spain. All three of us left Spain for good, finding our future in foreign countries. In 1911, one year after Bacardi opened its first international bottling plan in Spain, Picasso painted La Botella de Ron. One year later in Paris, he painted Verre et Bouteille de Suze. This is why these two components are the main ingredients of my cocktail. After doing more research about Picasso and his paintings I realized that most of his artworks are portraits of the women in his life. It seems they were all extraordinary but were eclipsed by all the attention that was poured on Picasso. For this reason, I decided to dedicate my cocktail to these women and to every extraordinary woman. Luchadora is Spanish for 'strong woman!'."
