Ingredients:
5 fresh Blackberries
2 oz Ketel One Vodka
0.42 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
2 dash Orange Bitters by Angostura
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of skewered blackberry.
  3. MUDDLE blackberries in base of shaker.
  4. Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
  5. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  6. Garnish with skewered blackberry.

Blackberry taste was light, but just enough. Was extremely good with Barr Hill Vodka, which added a little honey flavor, while simple syrup takes off the burn.

Per wife who loves vodka based fruit drinks:

It was too much vodka taste AND too much sweetness WITHOUT blackberry taste.

We used large and delicious blackberries.
