1 oz Ketel One Vodka
1 oz Dark/black/blackstrap rum
2 12 oz Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
16 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Collins glass.
  2. Prepare lemon slice wheel garnish.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.
  5. Garnish with lemon slice wheel.

Variant:

Brass Monkey can also be a rum lemonade make by shaking 30ml light rum, 30ml vodka, 50ml lemon juice and 30ml sugar syrup with ice and strain into ice-filled glass.

Nice cocktail. It went well with a spicy dinner. Orange is very front forward. All the ingredients work well together.
