Glass:

Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
1 23 fl oz Bourbon whiskey
13 fl oz Giffard Menthe Pastille white crème de menthe
13 fl oz Cointreau L'Unique triple sec liqueur
12 fl oz Chilled water/mineral water omit if using wet ice
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

How to make:

  1. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish:

  1. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

I’m treating the heat as an excuse to play around with minty flavours.
I had a Four Roses bourbon and the Giffard Menthe Pastille and Combier Triple Sec. For me, the mint overpowered the orange. Maybe 12.5 ml Triple Sec and just 7.5ml Menthe would make the balance perfect? It’s a very smooth sip.

Surprisingly ok+. Tastes like a stirred Mint Julep. Very little orange flavor cutting through. Used Four Roses and a cheap creme de menthe and this doesn't taste cheap.
