Unfortunately had a mediocre banana liqueur (Marie Brizard, which tastes a little too close to banana sour candy/chewing gum, almost like the old Pisang Ambon in some ways), and as a result, the drink tastes pretty much like candy. Perfect as a dessert as a result.

Hate to see it, but there's a lot here that on paper would turn me off. But I used Flor de Cana 4 (dark), Banane du Bresil, and Bauchant (curacao) and this was surprisingly bold and dynamic. Bacardi Gold might go better (a little more bite) in this, but it's otherwise surprisingly good... even with the muteness of naval orange... (4 May 2023, 9:14a)
