Glass:

Serve in an Old-fashioned glass

Ingredients:
2 slice Fresh ginger root (thumbnail-sized slice)
2 barspoon Honey
2 oz Blended Scotch whisky
14 oz Hazelnut liqueur
14 oz Butterscotch liqueur
× 1 1 serving
Read about cocktail measures and measuring

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

How to make:

  1. MUDDLE ginger in base of shaker.
  2. Add honey and whisky and STIR until honey dissolves.
  3. Add other ingredients and SHAKE with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

Garnish:

  1. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

One of the best Scotch cocktails I've ever tried. Although I'm not a fan of whisky, I love ginger and hazelnut, and all the ingredients played to their strengths.

I also tried it in a rocks glass with 75ml of aged Scotch whisky, 15ml of Frangelico, and swapped the butterscotch for demerara sugar syrup — I thought it was even better.
