A single malt whisky-based Bobby Burns, and all the more "excellent" for it.

A (pleasantly) boozier Bobby Burns, for when you feel inclined. Went lovely with a shortbread biscuit. Another excellent rendition of the Manhattan/Rob Roy theme.

Might be worth linking this to the main Bobby Burns recipe and calendar pages - I only discovered it via reader comments.

What a great combination. Used a Glenlivet Single Malt aged in Rum barrels. This cocktail is flavourful, and perfect for the Nick and Nora glasses. Makes you feel you are having drinks in a 1940s movie. Cheers!

Felt a bit weird pouring a lovely 15yo into a mixing glass, but I have to say that is bloody nice, one might even say it is excellent.
