The face gracing this session ale’s mauve coloured label is of Stanley, a chap who is apparently always on hand to help at the brewery in emergencies, and who “can’t resist having a swift pint on his way from work each evening.” Brewed with Fuggles and Goldings over a pale malt base.
Sampled on 01/02/2014
(sample best before 12-Mar-14) Clear, pale golden amber with thin white head.
Hay with fragrant pine and grassy hopes. Faint herbal aromas.
Light and crisp. Caramel malt, moderate to muscular piney hops and floral notes.
Lingering lightly metalic hop bitterness.
