Review and Tasting

Sampled on 08/02/2022

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Raisins, sultanas, leathery toasty oak, cinnamon and zesty orange with rich blackened fruitcake. More orange and vanilla with a splash of water.

Taste:

Rich raisin and sultana-led dried fruit toned by oak tannins and cinnamon-led spice with clove and star anise. Takes water well - amplifies citrus fruit.

Aftertaste:

Toasty oak and dried fruit with attractive zesty orange.

Overall:

Rich by name and generous by nature although perhaps a tad young without the roundness that comes with more maturity.
